Llama Island

We woke up to perfectly clear blue skies, and knew we had to get outside of the city for the day. In search of something different, Trevor and I opted to try Llama island for the afternoon. A ferry ride got us there in under a half hour, and we set out on foot, as Llama allows no cars on the island. We wove our way through the small town of shops and restaurants, stopping to buy a fresh grilled ear of corn on the cob to share as a snack. When we finally arrive at the main beach, we noticed a large “no dogs allowed” sign, which would not do, as our panting adventure buddy definitely needed some water to cool down in.

A short hike, and scramble down onto some large, smooth rocks, led us to our very own private “beach”. Trevor jumped immediately into the ocean, Rhino cautiously submerged himself on the edge of the rocks, and I swam in the space between.

We spent a few hours laying, scrambling, and swimming on the rocks of our found beach, before heading back into town for some much needed lunch. Although we only spent a few hours there, Llama was beautiful, and we will definitely be back.
